Hyperbaric tunnel worker’s medical

In order to undertake the Hyperbaric Worker’s Course, all participants must prove their health and fitness in order to complete the course.

Certificate Details

Workers must be in possession of a valid certificate of medical fitness for hyperbaric work which complies with AS4774.1 or AS2299.1.

The medical certificate must be issued by a doctor experienced in Underwater Medicine and approved by the relevant regulatory authority.

Medical certificates issued for sport diving, aviation or by a local GP are not acceptable.

A list of approved Australian doctors with hyperbaric training can be found on the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society (SPUMS) website at www.spums.org.au . The medical must be completed prior to starting your course.
