All Pressureworx-issued certification cards have the authority to bear the Australian Coat of Arms.
The ADAS diver certification is embedded

Des is one of Australia’s leading diving and hyperbaric tunnelling trainers with over forty years of practical industry experience.
Des is the founder of Pressureworx . He brings an an impressive mix of international diving and tunnelling experience to the organisation and was fundamental in its national accreditation.
Work Experience
Founded the Descend Underwater Training Centre a commercial diving contracting and training company in 1979.
Leading the way in diving contracting and training Descend set many benchmarks including training Police divers from Queensland, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, running the first commercial diving courses for new dive schools in South Australia and New Zealand and the first non English speaking commercial diver training in Turkey.
As an author
Des has contributed heavily to the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) standard diving texts, co-authored the FAUI “Dive Master Manual” and “The Porpoise – Australian Diving Technology the World Copied” and produced the standard Risk Assessment now compulsory in all ADAS accredited schools . Des is also the author of The Hyperbaric Tunnel Worker’s Handbook.
Descend won “Best Micro Business” and “Best Small Business” in NSW and “Best Micro Business” in Australia in the 2003 Commonwealth Government Telstra Small Business Awards.
Training and accreditation
Construction industry qualifications include; Rigger, Scaffolder, Dogman, Powderman in Vic, NSW and ACT, Underwater Welding, Coxswain and Certificate 4 in Occupational Health and Safety.
Hyperbaric-related qualifications include; Advanced Diploma in Occupational Diving – Project Management, Diploma in Occupational Diving – Dive Manager, ADAS and Commercial Diving Supervisor Level 3 and Technicians Qualifications System Senior Technician Trainer.
Medical-related qualifications include; Diver Medical Technician, HTNA Hyperbaric Technician grade 1, DAN Oxygen Instructor, First Aid Instructor, Automatic Defibrillator Instructor.
Training-related qualifications include; Diploma of Occupational Diving – Trainer, ADAS Diver Training Assessment Manager, ADAS Tunnel Training Assessment Manager, Certificate 4 in Assessment and Workplace Training, Instructor Trainer with DAN and SSI and OH&S Construction Induction Trainer Assessor.
Geoff , is the CEO of Pressureworx taking over the company in 2016 and now lead Trainer. With a background in electrical mechanics with international experience as a commercial diver, Geoff brings a wealth of knowledge to each training course.
As a commercial diver, Supervisor and Instructor Geoff has been involved in numerous major diving construction and training projects including the first non-English speaking training courses for commercial divers in Turkey and tunnel training in Thailand.
Work Experience
Geoff started his working career as an industrial electrical mechanic and formed his own company in 1982 which employed 15 staff and specalisesd in the installation and maintenance of hospital based systems. Geoff took a backward seat in the electrical business in 2015, selling the electrical business in 2017 to concentrate on his real passion of diving and hyperbaric training.
Working under the Pressureworx banner as a Hyperbaric Tunnelling Consultant and Trainer, Geoff has be involved in the training of lock operators and hyperbaric workers on the Northern Sewerage Project in Melbourne, the Southern Seawater Desalination Project near Perth in Western Australia, the Victorian Desalination Project at Wonthaggi in Victoria and the Airport Link project in Brisbane, Narrows Marine Crossing in Gladstone Qld, Wheatstone Project WA, MTR 1107 Hong Kong, MTR 1109 Hong Kong, Tuen Mun to Chek Lap Kok tunnel Hong Kong, Idris Inner Doha Re-Sewerage Implementation Strategy in Qatar. Forrestfield Airport Link in WA, North Yarra Main Sewer diversion in Melbourne and West Gate Tunnel Project in Melbourne.
Certification and training

Hyperbaric-related qualifications include; Diploma of Occupational Diving- Supervisor Level 3.
Medical-related qualifications include; Diver Medical Technician, DAN, SSI and Orca Oxygen Instructor, First Aid Instructor and Automatic Defibrillator Instructor.
Training-related qualifications include; Diploma of Occupational Diving, ADAS Diver Trainer, ADAS Tunnel Trainer, Certificate4 in Assessment and Workplace Training and Instructor with DAN, Orca and SSI.

This course is designed to meet the needs of tunnel workers who are required to enter the compressed air environment on pressurised tunnel boring machines.
ADAS Lock Operator
The course is designed to be delivered in five eight-hour days and requires the students to have first completed the Hyperbaric Workers Course.
A course in the provision of oxygen is a requirement for Lock Operators under Australian Standard AS4774.1, Work in tunnels, shafts and caissons.
A First Aid course directly tailored to include the issues faced by hyperbaric workers.
Ferri reque integreMedical Lock
This course is designed to provide participants with training in basic life support and in the first aid management.
This course is designed to provide the participants with the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies using basic life support only.
In order to undertake the Hyperbaric Worker’s Course, all participants must prove their health and fitness in order to complete the course.
In response to the fact that tunneling projects are getting deeper, Pressureworx has developed a course designed to train the workers in the safe procedure for using trimix breathing gas and equipment to a pressure of 6.6 bar (g).
